session_cache_limiter Function synopsis

session_cache_limiter(?string $value = null): string|false

Parameters

$value

OptionalType?stringDefault valuenull

If $value is specified and not null, the name of the current cache limiter is changed to the new value.

$value accepts one of the following string values:

  • public
  • private_no_expire
  • private
  • nocache

Return value

Typestring|false

Returns the name of the current cache limiter. On failure to change the value, false is returned.

session_cache_limiter returns one of the following string values:

  • public
  • private_no_expire
  • private
  • nocache
