mbstring: mbstring.encoding_translation — enable automatic encoding translation according to mbstring.internal_encoding setting. Input chars are converted to internal encoding by setting this to On. Note: Do not use automatic encoding translation for portable libs/applications.

Modifiability: INI_PERDIR|INI_SYSTEM - The mbstring.encoding_translation INI directive can be set per-directory (php.ini, .htaccess, httpd.conf, .user.ini, etc.) or globally from php.ini files. However, it cannot be configured with ini_set calls.
