gzgetc Function synopsis
gzgetc($stream): string|false
Parameters
$stream
The gz-file pointer. It must be valid, and must point to a file
successfully opened by gzopen.
Return value
Typestring|false
The uncompressed character or false on EOF (unlike gzeof).
